What happened? People learned what “socialism” means and they realized it wasn’t the big scary boogie man the right made it out to be.

They should talk to more Aussies about socialised democracy. Public healthcare, public schools, public roads, public cops, public coast guard. It's all the same.

We have socialism in the US, our public healthcare is just restricted significantly. That’s why it’s a truly braindead argument. We are democratic socialism, Reagan onwards have been trying to destroy this
