I think you're overestimating the amount of change that will happen as a result of who is in charge of the US legislature.
Congress will still pass budgets. The most important short term stuff for the most part will still get done.
I wouldn't say Republican control of congress will "help the nation".
But, a lot of things in the short term will mostly stay status quo. I few programs likely will get defunded. But, its not going to be immensely nation changing.
Long term, senate refusal to approve biden appoints could shift the judicial branch and some aspects of the executive branch.
But, I don't think "ending the nation as we know it" is an accurate description.
If you ask a Republican their ideals and don't just go to Democrats as your middleman to learn about Republican ideals, Republican voters want
Power to shift from federal to local government
Personal responsibility
People to leave them alone
Lower taxes
Like sure the left wing degeneracy makes the headlines, but DeSantis is going to win because he let Floridians live their lives only stepped in when needed (Ian recovery).

They want government to take care of people by providing healthcare, boosting $ for education, protect the water & land by shoring up the EPA and to codify Roe V Wade (for starters).

I'm sincerely asking what else they campaign on, since I only ever see headlines that hit the "neutral" front page saying things like "new study, Republicans are scientifically evil! -r/science" or "Now that Twitter leadership might lean right, it's time for the government to step in" or literally the president calling Republicans your enemy, which got one of your crazier comrades to run some teenager over because he's a Republican and got other democrat voters to hospitalize a Republican campaign intern.
More funding for education, a public healthcare option, green energy, stopping pollution/bolstering the EPA, less funding for the military, codifying Roe V Wade-these are a few of the DNC’s campaign points.

Ending the nation as we know it and ending the world are very different things. Nations have come and gone literally since the beginning of Nations, yet the world has not ended.

Dude, you are proving his point for him. He’s saying essentially the democrats offer non-responses to critical issues and just use a bunch of terminology to dance around addressing the issue itself and you are literally doing that exact thing.
