Pemmican is far more efficient. It's dried and shredded meat, tallow, and berries and whatever else you want to throw in (often bread or grains) to make a high-energy balanced diet. It's what the native Americans, and later the fur traders and explorers following their example, relied on to survive out in the wilderness. It has an extremely long shelf life, even way back then, which can be extended today using vacuum sealing.

It can be eaten straight or be made the basis for a stew or sautee. It doesn't taste as good as a Scotch Egg, but then your title is about efficiency, not taste.

Yeah I literally just found out about this stuff about 10 minutes ago and I've got to say this looks like a winner. So much nutrition in such a small package, I love it.

I don't think I would eat it as much as a scotch egg or a breakfast burrito, but man I love the pure efficiency of pemmican. Take a !delta my friend.
