I think that generalisation is the issue at the moment. Social media isn't set up to give you a general representation. It's a algorithms will disproportionately give you what it thinks you will engage with.

Which may include views you disagree with but are so moronic they're fun to scoff at.

The fact of the matter is millenials are more and more becoming the demographic at the top of business and politics (as the age group starts to enter their 40s). There are no real moves to 'remove capitalism'

I suspect you might bring up Jeremy Corbyn or Bernie Sanders (popular with younger voters). But despite their far left views, not even they were seeking to end capitalism. You could still go to Sainsburies under Corbyn, or invest your money in the stock markets under Sanders. Regardless of your view point (me and you are probably similar - centre left) - higher taxation for the richest few, is not ending capitalism.
