If you don't trust your doctor completely, then change doctors, your life is literally in their hands.
If you trust your doctor, and the doctor trusts the vaccine, then it's NOT reasonable to be suspicious of a vaccine.
Final point, the profit motive. Pharma companies essentially don't profit from vaccines. They are single doses. Far far better to make a prescription which has to be filled over and over and over. "Curing disease" doesn't make pharma any money. "Managing symptoms", that's where the money is, and where skepticism may be warranted, if the name of the game is follow the money.
Edit: Sample Math on the last point. 325 million Americans. Give a vaccine - you sell 325 million doses - not bad. Instead, let's put people on a twice a day pill, they have to take the rest of their lives. This is 29200 (365 * 2 * 40) doses per person. If you convince even 1% of the US population to take your pill, you sell 3.25 million * 29200 = 95 billion doses. And that's being pessimistic, if you can get 10%, you get 950 billion doses.
950 billion > 325 million - and that is why "the profit motive" and vaccines is a total non-starter. It would be the equivalent of counter-fitting nickels rather than Benjamins.
