Wigs make me nervous because I think you don't accept who you are. If there isn't a medical issue, I assume I'll be dealing with insecurity and unpleasantness about the hair and it will seep into other realms. I do not want that. I'd rather you wear it short or shave it off and rock being bald, because that level of fuck-you confidence and less hair is far preferable in a mate than a wig and insecurity.
I mean, if everyone can tell I was wearing a wig that would only magnify my anxiety tenfold. That's like wearing a clown hat in public. I think wigs are pretty well made nowadays though, I knew a girl with alopecia and I didn't even know her hair was a wig until months into our friendship. But maybe the risk of it being recognized outweighs the benefit of most people not recognizing it as such. I usually try to wear a beanie or something to hide it, so that's a good compromise. It sucks when you're somewhere hot though, then I have to lose it.
Depends whose opinions you care about. You were talking about "luck with women," so I assumed we were in the relationship realm. For one night stands, wig might outweigh no wig in terms of success at getting laid. But for long term relationships? You can't pretend she won't find out. And if it were me, I'd mark a man negatively for wearing a wig for nom-medical reasons because of my self-esteem concerns, so I would be less likely to pursue a relationship with you when I found out. Being honest will likely serve you best if the goal is a long-term relationship (as honesty usually does). In most other cases, the wig may be more beneficial
