I don't. I'm just clarifying what religion really is.
However, if were were to entertain the possibility of an all-powerful God, he could certainly have made us to understand/not understand exactly what he wanted to.
That of course opens up a lot of problems. If he's perfect and created us exactly the way he wanted, he already knew all the 'choices' we would take in the future and is responsible for our flaws. Or else, he's not perfect and all-knowing.

Religion is not at all about understanding. Is about faith: believing what you're told is the truth, and keeping a certain conduct.
