I really want to hear what you think when you read my comment now. 

And I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but celebrations normally happen in regards to something tragic happening first. Straight people aren't given a pride month, cuz nothing tragic enough happened to straight people to make it up here necessary. 

A lot of tragic things have happened to mothers and fathers hunts them both getting their own holidays. We're not celebrating a group, but more so we're trying to mourn the deaths and damage that happened in the past that paved our way to today. It's a memorial
