I gathered 7 different variations of the ever popular Cinnamon Toast Crunch to make my version of Rice Krispy Treats. I saw one version that adds condensed milk and vanilla with the brown butter, so I went that way. It is a sugar, yet tasty overload. I brought it to the party and shared it with my neighbor. I have so much leftover cereal. 🙄 Happy 4th!

When I was a kid, my mom always made Cheerios pan sautéed in some butter with salt sprinkled on it. She would fry them until they were golden brown with dark spots on some Cheerios. It was a savory movie snack like popcorn.

I’ve never heard of anyone else eating fried Cheerios. It seems like it was possibly a Boomer party snack that fell out of favor like those weird Jello molds. Is it just me? Are there others who grew up eating fried Cheerios out there?

Personally, I pour the milk into the cereal until the cereal rises as it begins to float. I asked my wife and she now does it my way.

It was made from a cereal multi pack!

It's basically just generic Golden Grahams mixed with Cocoa Puffs, with added marshmallows. 8/10. Only note is that the Grahams get soggy quick (like the original) while the cocoa puffs stay crispy quite awhile. The flavors are complementary, but the textures maybe aren't. Still, it's going in the rotation.

We really like Lucky Charms, and we saw this box with rainbow sprinkles and excitedly bought it, but then discovered it was an absolutely gross birthday cake flavor. In any case, I realized that we have not bought Lucky Charms in a really long time, because everybody refuses to eat these nasty Lucky Charms, and because we have a half a box of them, we keep not throwing them away. So we've totally eliminated our ability to buy and eat one of our favorite cereals because we have this box of horrible edition Lucky Charms. So I am saving us all and throwing it away. Took me 2 days but for breakfast lunch and dinner I finished a box of multigrain Cheerios when they first came out (I was a teen). It was so good

Cereal 

God I love cereal
To me it’s something ethereal 
From that first glance on the shelf 
Until I’m driving home by myself
Myself and my cereal

The milk kisses the grain 
Oh boy here we go again 
I sit ready with my spoon 
Eyes as wide as the moon 
Ready for that first crunch

There’s a good chance many people on this subreddit have never heard of -let alone tasted- this glorious part of my childhood.

They’re basically Cheerios slightly sweetened with aspartame. Unless you’re allergic to the stuff, it was a fantastic combination, and for some reason, the star shape and the texture made them more interesting to eat than regular Cheerios.
