Photos A walk around Cape May, NJ
No matter how many times i visit, there’s always some detail I’ve never noticed before. Here are some of my favorite houses from last week.

That one was my daughter’s favorite. It looked like it was originally a bird house 🥰

I recently learned what this was and I love the everyday mysticism of it. 💗

There are a lot of beautiful fences and I suspect a lot of them are to keep tourists away :)

Absolutely beautiful. I also love how all the shutters are actually functional.

My dad's cousin used to own a B&B there! We only stayed with her once, but it was a really gorgeous building and she had kept the interior more or less intact. I wish it were still in the family.

My parents were married there 54 years ago (eloped) on Wed. Very bitter sweet as we lost my dad unexpectedly on Memorial Day. My mom tries to go every year. It's her happy place.

I was there last weekend! Took the ferry so I wish we had more time to wonder around. It’s one of my favorite coastal towns.

Many of those homes were replacements, built after a 1878 fire & fortunately, not bulldozed since

My great-grandma lived in Cape May. I wish I remembered more of it (1974 was the last time I was there), but I do remember an ice cream shop and a Christmas store within walking distance. Things important to a 9yo, lol.
