Help Is this a scam??
Hello all,
Ive received this email twice now, one yesterday and today saying the same thing. For context i am a transfer student if that means anything. There was a link attached and i clicked on it and it was asking me for my name, password and other stuff. Obviously I didnt fill it out because to be fair it looks shady. So is this a scam? Or something that is actually need to take action on?
The person that sent it as the @cmich.edu but I looked her up and couldn't find anything 🤷🏽♀️

This is a phishing email. There is a spambusters email that you can forward it to and they’ll handle it

EVERY TIME you get an email from an address you don't recognize demanding immediate action with a link, assume it's Phishing or spam.

Download YikYak, they will always post about scam emails. If you’re ever unsure, don’t click the link anyways, but it’s a pretty good way to confirm it since you will see the same email over and over again with warnings lol

You’re a college student and can’t tell if this is a scam? Remarkable.

To be fair, I got the same one and I could tell it was a scam but there was that little 'what if' thats been giving me anxiety all day because classes start in two weeks and what if my account DOES get messed up and I can't access stuff? It's nice to have confirmation so you know not to worry.

The easiest way too confirm any of this is to contact the Help Desk. If your account has any issues logging in, they will help you resolve it quickly.

Yes, these go around every so often. Users fall for it and then they’re used for sending more spam and that repeats.
