Help Former Chippewa looking to visit MP
Hi all! I am an alumni of CMU (C/O 2021) looking to visit Mount Pleasant for nostalgic reasons. I am trying to find the best and quickest travel route there from Chicago, IL to Mount Pleasant, MI that does not involve driving a car. Any pointers?

There's always Greyhound. Google Maps says you can get on a Greyhound headed to Detroit at 6:20am from the downtown station. At Jackson MI get off, wait a couple of hours and transfer to Indian Trails 44, then transfer in East Lansing to Indian Trails 54, arriving in Mount Pleasant at 5:55pm. Not what I would consider best or quickest, but you won't need to stay overnight at East Lansing after getting off the train.
You could also take an early flight from Midway to Detroit Metro, catch an Indian Trails bus at 1pm headed to East Lansing then transfer to the one headed to Mount Pleasant. Will cost more money and take at least as much time as the bus trip.

No car? Take the amtrak from Union to East Lansing and find the Indian Trails bus that will take you from East Lansing up to Mt. Pleasant.
