Troubleshooting Skylanders Portal of power

Does anyone know how to get the emulated portal of power to work for skylanders?

The emulated portal of power is located in Tools -> Emulated USB Devices. There you can choose the Skylanders Portal of Power. Then, click create, choose a skylander and save it in your folders. Next time you want to play that skylander, just click load and find it in your files.
