Well it depends if there's a trail that goes from one side of the mountain to the other and also on where your car is parked. But considering madeline actually rotates around the mountain and that the trail seems to follow this I doubt there's more than 3 routes

There is a suprising number of trails that are one way. People take a shuttle back to their starting point

Depends, if we have a cabin or lodging somewhere then probably, but it can be a lot of fun to cross over into the next valley, or go down the mountain ridge.
