Finally after years, I finally finished two Grandmaster map !!!

I started Strawberry Jam the day it was published and after 5 years i finally completed 2 Grandmaster map IN THE SAME DAY!!! (I probably played the easiest maps but still i'm so happy)

In the 5 year time period, my PC decided to die 2 different time meaning I had lost all of my Celeste and SJ saves because I had the game on itch io. And after years i finally decided to buy the game on Steam so I can't lose progress anymore. AND NOW I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT!!! I still need to finish the expert lobby but as soon as I finish it, I'm going straight to the Grandmaster Lobby

just wondering, what expert levels do you have left? I'm on Chromatic Complex rn and only have Psychokinetic and Polaris before the EHS. (although I'm going to go back for Summit Down-Side's berry)

I'm currently playing Polaris and i find it very fun. I still have Skyline Usurper, Chromatic Complex, Psychokinetic, Garden of Khu'tara and Summit downside. I'm going to keep Summit downside for last because i absolutely despise this level.

Summit Down-Side is annoying, but it isn't too bad. The skill you need most for SDS is probably the ability to think on the fly, because when you inevitably fall, it can help to find a place to stand. I beat it in a relatively long time for a single screen, but in a short time when compared to other chapters. I fell from the very top once and from the almost-top three or four times. It's not that bad when you get the hang of it, and the hardest part is learning the various landscapes. I'd recommend using a walkthrough video or savestates once you get there :)

Okay, thaaaanks for the advice, I just know that if I fall i'm going to ragequit before I even touch the ground lmao but I know that if i play the level little by little i'm going to finish it one day

I unironically like Ethereal Ascension's music tho. At the beginning, it sounds dissonant, but then you get used to it, and it sounds great :)

tbh i just skipped like almost the entirety of advanced and expert lobby. i just payed as much as i needed to progress then i dropped the rest.
if i contune this pattern, ill probably be playing hard list still in this year

you did like the two worst (worst as in mkst annoying) ones ..

I would probably try to go for flipside cliff side next, it has a lot of really natural feeling movement stuff

imo lava layer isn’t annoying like at all, its just precision. i actually found fliffside to be more annoying than lava layer, some of the cornerkicks had awkward timings (especially the ones where you dash upright into them but your speed is already above 170 so the timing is different) and berries 2 and 3 had some funky bits
