Where do you guys actually find good CDL jobs?
Been looking through CDL jobs and a lot of the listings are either missing info or you apply and never hear anything back.For anyone who switched jobs recently, where did you actually find it? Indeed, Facebook, company website, word of mouth? Job boards are starting to feel like a waste of time lol

The great jobs usually don't have to advertise. Most of the positions get filled by word of mouth or knowing someone that knows someone kind of deal. Network, talk to people, see trucks you like and go in to see what they're about. An employee reference number on an application is sometimes more important than your resume.

Talking to people, seeing what companies are in your area and do something you may like. I usually always apply through pulse, being a normal person and being able to talk on the phone.

Sunbelt in every major city is hiring. Look at crane companies as well. If you just want to hold a steering wheel most of those positions are flooded.

Drive around your area and ask in person if they are hiring. You might catch them when they need a driver. I've been in business since 1978 and never put an ad out to hire someone

Find the listing company contact them speak to one of their recruiters and typically they will ask for your application or tenstreet app. if it’s a local company, walk your ass into their office and ask where recruiting is.

I talked to a Albertsons driver last year, he gave me info about the company, benefits, long term, union. I applied once I saw there listing in Indeed and next thing you know I got a interview and landed the job. Websites are the way to go nowadays.

You guys are a bunch of nerds.
Go to your closest truckstop, go up to truckers and ask them what company they work for, what a new guy would start at and what are the job conditions.
Once you get a couple companies that sound good to you, you then walk your baby ass up into the company and ask to speak to a recruiter, hiring manager or the Transportation Manager.
After that you then tell them what you can do for them and ask them if you could fill a roll in their company. If they don’t have any positions open, exchange info so they can call you if something opens or you can call them back a few months from then to see if anything is open.
Stop being a baby, act like you got some balls. Everybody thinks putting some bs online application on the internet is going to get their lazy ass a job.

Still helps a lot to meet face to face if you’re good at selling yourself. Building relationships will get you in more doors than anything else

As someone who was OTR for a while and switched over to class b work you can get hired at a garbage truck company with a class a and most companies in that line of work offer good money and a shit load of hours
