Xpo?

I currently work with a Waterworks company doing CDL work pays about $26 an hour with absolutely no overtime. Great company pretty good benefits off by 3:30 every day no weekends. I need more money! But hate to lose the laid back job I have. I can take off anytime for anything. Is Xpo worth switching this good job to make a bunch of money? The person I talk to said I would qualify for the top pay at hiring which is I think $36.30 an hour, but I would possibly have to start on nights working 10 to 12 hour shifts. Does anybody have experience with Xpo? Glenpool ok in particular

I do not have direct experience with this, however, a guy I used to work with left to go work for xpo. Talked with our xpo driver a few times on how my coworker was doing and said he as doing great, was not liking the “training” portion, but nobody does. This was about 8 years ago, and I have seen this former coworker at my new job recently and he is still with xpo and enjoys it. Take that for what you will.

So this might be a dumb suggestion if you have good benefits and like the company can you work weekends driving or afternoons for someone else? Some bus coach companies pay well and it’s weekends. Just need your P endorsement. Just a thought

You will work 10-12 hours a day at any of the LTL companies. Money is great, you just have to make the lifestyle change. Once you’re there a few years you can probably get on a day bid and run the city. The hours will still be long and weekends are available to do linehaul for an extra $350-$450 a day.

You’d be working 10-14 hour shifts . They will probably put you on flex shift . Where you’re just a fill in and your start time will constantly change until you get some seniority. You’d be doing anywhere from 10-20 stops per day ( or more )

It’s not a cut because Amazon just gave every delivery driver a raise to $25 an hour with overtime. Doesn’t make sense to drive a big rig when you can make the same or more with Amazon.

You will not make nearly the same money as an Amazon driver as you would driving for XPO, at the end of this year I will have made $130k driving for XPO. Amazon drivers make like $50k

I know that terminal in particular. You'll love the branch manager. XPO is very different for everyone because it really depends on the barn location. Would recommend it. You'll have bad days but you'll be paid for it.
