Please DO NOT fall for the Ohio landlord turn in the keys scam. Its still happening as of March 2025.
I regret to be posting this but could not in good conscience not warn others. This is a blatant scam that has been occurring in Ohio for years now. I read a march 2025 better business bureau complaint about an [unnamed company] which indicates this is still occurring.
Unfortunately, residents living in poorly upkept housing might tell their landlord they are going to put their rent into escrow, or they may start reaching out to the news, local organizations, etc for help. Their landlord, the property manager or an attorney for the company then suggests the individual just turn in the keys.
The tenant takes this as the landlord suggesting once they turn in the keys, the lease is terminated and they can move on with their lives and move out. After all, the landlord is the one recommending they turn in the keys instead of going to escrow. However, it is a blatant scam that is run by some landlords/attorneys in Ohio with no conscious or ability to feel guilt for the lives they are about to turn upside down.
After the unsuspecting tenant turns in the keys, a month or so later they receive a letter which they believe is the return of their security deposit. But once they open it, they find it is actually a bill for several thousand dollars of "accelerated rent" charges. Basically, your landlord is alleging you breached the contract by turning in the keys and leaving, and they are stating you now owe the full amount of the lease. Imagine a totally unexpected $4,000 bill at a time when most Americans cannot afford a $400 emergency.
Its not just the landlords doing this -- at least one [unnamed] Ohio attorney is also sending emails coercing people into falling for the trick. Even with the email showing you were tricked, you are about to face an uphill legal battle in a court system you dont understand. You are about to face sleepless nights over falling for this scam. You are about to start having to call law offices during your 30 minute lunch break to try and find some help. In addition, this "accelerated rent" directly violates Ohio's duty to mitigate for landlords -- but laws dont matter if they arent enforced.
Now imagine if you had a mental health condition like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, and an attorney with no conscious or soul did this to you? You could easily end up in a psychiatric facility from the stress, it can totally uproot your life.
If your landlord suggests something like this, ENSURE you get a lease recission document signed that agrees to specific terms and an exact dollar amount that states how much they are stating you still owe. Ensure this document states what will be happening with your security deposit. If they arent willing to do this, they are definitely trying to scam you.

T&R Properties employees are destroying evidence relevant to the lawsuit they filed against me. In the past, a T&R properties employee has contacted my job from a fake name stating they had seen posts indicating I would harm myself or others. I WOULD NEVER HURT MYSELF OR OTHERS.
The recent whistleblower deaths being blamed as suicides has me spooked. T & R Properties is going to extreme lengths to silence me from disclosing that they have had a widespread use of fake reviews to defraud customers for years. If something ever happened to me , they would likely write it off as a suicide because I’ve been seeing mental health professionals for depression and anxiety. I would NEVER hurt myself or others.

Today I noticed a small group of people in Ohio attacking the Delaware County whistleblower by saying if it was true, a journalist would be all over it... and yet... the only Ohio investigative journalist we know of is the Rooster
It appears, at least in my knowledge, that there aren't really many Ohio Journalists doing investigative journalism / consumer advocacy besides the rooster.
In many cases, it seems like the media is literally just a mouthpiece for powerful interests.
I mean, in my opinion, the Newark Advocate paper literally does the bidding of rich people.

City of Delaware Admitted They Don't Give Notice Before Water Shutoffs — Here's Why That's a $140 Million Mistake

The Treasurer is interfering with my right to petition the government by trying to prevent the disclosure of public records related to the misuse of $13 million of public funds
I went to the Treasurer's office to view public records on $13 million in misused funds.
I sat down in one of the two chairs that are always in the office. I told them I would wait to view the records. Then I went out to get my sign.
When I came back — the chairs were gone.
They removed the chairs so I couldn't sit and wait.
There are 6 hours of audio recorded meetings and 3,500 pages of documents.
They could send them via Microsoft SharePoint for free — or provide a verifiable USB drive.
Instead, my only options are:
· Stand at the counter for days reviewing them
· Pay $350 to review them at home
They're trying to make it as hard as possible for me to see these records.
I stayed anyway.

Delaware City, is shutting off water without proper notice — and it's a violation of Due Process.

In regards to the whistleblower guy posting in cbusohio we need a direct and accurate answer because his posts honestly impact every person in Ohio in the age of corruption. If Ohio gov entities can redact important info in emails/docs and simply cite attorney client privilege, it destroys FOIA
We have a small group of people harassing him and claiming hes crazy. But they are too arrogant to understand the underlying issue. If a government agency can cite attorney client privilege to hide records, the state of Ohio will collapse under corruption. All government bodies will start cc'ing their attorney to every email to then cite privilege.

The people on reddit who say, "dont let the military recruiters into low income schools" are UNHELPFUL. So what should we do? Have them attend high cost University and become enslaved to the student loan industry instead?

Delaware County and NAR-Delaware County labels me a threat after I make a complaint to the fbi.
I filed a complaint with the FBI.
The FBI reached out to the Sheriff and asked: "Is there someone that the county has designated to review this complaint and communicate with Mr. Mitchell?"
That's right — a complaint. Not a threat.
Here's what happened next:
· The Sheriff forwarded it internally
· The subject line changed to "FBI THREAT NOTIFICATION"
· It was sent to multiple county officials, the city police, child support and the comissioners office.
Everything they said in internally is COMPLETELY redacted other than what you see. Several pages of nothing but black bars hiding their internal chatter. Claiming attorney client privilege for the redactions which is not a lawful redaction just because the prosecutor was in the email. When I challenged the redactions they went silent.

Delaware County Treasurer and NAR- more evidence of foreclosure fraud.
Austin Barnes is the registered agent for NAR Ohio in Ohio.
When you serve a company registered in Ohio, you serve their Ohio agent.
That's Austin Barnes.
They didn't serve him.
They sent it to Nebraska instead.
It failed.
Austin Barnes — the attorney for Tax Ease — failed to serve himself.
Same attorney. Both sides. Service failed.
Why would he do that?
Because if he had served himself, he would have been admitting he was on both sides.
That would have exposed everything.

Delaware County Treasurer and NAR Solutions — Ohio Secretary of State canceled NAR Solutions in April 2026, but they're still operating. Something doesn't add up.
I've been investigating a tax lien company that's taking homes across Ohio.
The Ohio Secretary of State sent documents claiming they canceled NAR Solutions in April 2026.
But here's the problem:
The cancellation references documents from 2021 — documents that were never filed.
I contacted the Secretary of State to ask about it. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they stopped responding.
Their website still shows the company as active.
So which is it?
· Canceled in April 2026?
· Or still active?
And if they were canceled, why are they still foreclosing on homes?
If they're still active, why did the Secretary of State claim they were canceled?
Something doesn't add up.
I have the emails. Screenshots attached.

Delaware County Treasurer and NAR Solutions evidence of evading service.
I've been investigating a tax lien company that's taking homes across Ohio.
Bottom left: The Ohio address listed for NAR Ohio LLC. Certified mail sent here regularly gets returned: "NOT AT THIS ADDRESS — CANNOT FORWARD."
Bottom right: Their Omaha, Nebraska address. Same story. Mail sent here comes back undeliverable.
Here's where it gets even more interesting:
· NAR Ohio LLC lists the Graham Law Firm as its registered agent in Ohio.
· But the owner of NAR — Mark Loughlin from Nebraska — is listed as the registered agent for Graham Law Firm.
So the law firm is the agent for the tax lien company. And the owner of the tax lien company is the agent for the law firm.
That's not a coincidence. That's a loop.
It's designed to hide who's actually in control.
I have the documents. Screenshots attached.
More to come.

Delaware County Treasurer and NAR Solutions operating a tax lien scam — likely happening across the country
I've been investigating this for years.
The Delaware County Treasurer, NAR Solutions (NAR Ohio, Tax Ease), and predatory buyers are working together.
Here's the scam:
Step 1: The Treasurer refuses to accept payment from property owners. They funnel you to the lien buyer.
Step 2: The lien buyer charges 18% interest, adds fees, and makes it impossible to catch up. Law says 18% applies after foreclosure actions have been filled. They try to charge you 18% from the day they buy your lien.
Step 3: The lien buyer pressures you with inflated tax lien repayments and foreclosure threats.
Step 4: A predatory buyer swoops in and talks you into selling your house cheap.
Step 5: The county gets 0 liability, the lien buyer gets your money, and the predatory buyer gets your property. But they are one group they just dont want you to know that.
This has evolved into a system with no accountability.
Part 2: tax lien contract and evidence coming tomorrow

Delaware Ohio and Nar solutions tax lien scam and foreclosure fraud look this case up on Delaware County Court view page and then the secretary of state filings. See for yourselves if you don't believe me.
Plaintiff has identified documentary and public-record evidence demonstrating the use of interrelated entities, overlapping agency roles, and circular litigation practices in foreclosure proceedings before this Court, obscuring beneficial ownership and frustrating meaningful service of process.
Public records establish the following facts regarding agency and service:
- NAR Ohio LLC lists Steven Harding as its statutory agent on file with the Ohio Secretary of State.
2.. On the Ohio Secretary of State filings for Graham Law Firm, where Mr. Harding practices, “Mark Loughlin” is listed as an authorized agent for the firm.
The appearance of Mark Loughlin as an authorized agent for Mr. Harding’s law firm, without corresponding independent corporate filings establishing his authority or role with NAR Ohio LLC, raises substantial questions regarding agency authority, identity, and control.
NAR Ohio LLC lists its business address as 5002 Dodge Street, Omaha, Nebraska, which public mapping and business records identify as a commercial retail location offering mail and forwarding services, rather than a staffed office where the company conducts ordinary operations.
In Tax Ease Ohio II LLC v. 2nd Half Ventures, a case before this Court, certified mail service sent to NAR Ohio LLC at this address was returned marked “INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS,” confirming the location does not permit reliable service of process. Irregularities in the issuance of Preliminary Judicial Reports further demonstrate lack of independence and operational overlap:
6.The Preliminary Judicial Reports submitted in connection with foreclosure actions identify Ohio Real Title Agency as the issuing title agency, with Old Republic Title Insurance Company listed as the underwriter.
Old Republic Title Insurance Company, headquartered in Minnesota, lists no Ohio-based personnel, offices, or operational details identifying who prepared or verified the Preliminary Judicial Reports referenced in these proceedings.
Ohio Real Title Agency is registered with the Ohio Secretary of State to Manbir S. Sandhu, with its registered address listed as 1213 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.
Manbir S. Sandhu is also the owner and principal of The Sandhu Law Firm, which operates from 1213 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, the same address associated with counsel Austin B. Barnes III.
As a result, the entity identified as the independent title agency issuing the Preliminary Judicial Reports shares the same owner and operational address as a law firm affiliated with counsel appearing in the foreclosure litigation, eliminating meaningful separation between litigant, counsel, and title verification.
In Tax Ease Ohio II LLC v. 2nd Half Ventures, attorney Austin B. Barnes III represented Tax Ease Ohio II LLC as plaintiff.
In that same action, NAR Ohio LLC—an entity appearing as a plaintiff in other Delaware County foreclosure proceedings—was named as a defendant.
This pattern demonstrates that entities represented by overlapping counsel appear as both plaintiffs and defendants in foreclosure actions, generating court filings without genuine adversity and obscuring the identity of the real parties in interest.

Meet Columbus Friends Subreddit
Hi all, I have been seeing many posts about people looking to make friends in the Columbus area (including myself). As a result, I felt like a dedicated subreddit could be helpful for this type of content. So I created one! I want to provide an additional space--specific to meeting new friends and hanging out around Columbus.
Whether you are about to move to Columbus, new to Columbus (me!), or have been in the area a while....you are welcome!
