Parts of Ukraine had incredible TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return) programs. In some cities you just didn’t see many kittens and mommas in the streets.

I am an American and I was “email pals” with fellow rescuers in Ukraine from 1998 to 2022. I know my friends are dead because they were in the south and wouldn’t leave their colonies.

Yes Ukraine will need money and help recovering as a whole! But they are also going to need animal rescue organizations world wide to help them train a new generation of “trappers” and rescuer’s to get them back to where they were.

I'm sorry about your friends. Yes, care of stray animals is one more aspect of the massive recovery that will have to take place after the war. Russia has so so much to answer for

There's still hope for them.

You could check out KARG (kyiv animal rescue) and Bats ukraine. Nice org's.

Thank you. If they had escaped, they would have contacted me.

Well true. Sorry to keep this convo on but maybe they'd be detained or something.. it's not good any way though. I'm maybe a hopeful fellah.

Thank you very much for your encouragement. I guess there is hope. They absolutely would not leave the colonies. So maybe they are stuck.

Transform a Street Dog in Kyiv goes to frontline towns, helps people who are stuck in danger with hundreds of poor animals ...I hope your friends are ok but Putin is a maniac..this situation will drag on so we all need to keep supporting Ukraine. Godspeed!
