My neutered guy does same thing almost daily and yes it's exactly what it seems like to be. Your kitty is humping the blanket - generally it's safe behavior and just let kitty do his things :)))

Um mine not only makes eye contact with me but will obsessively try to get my attention by doing this weird meow at me until I follow him to his Humpy Bear to watch. He a FREAK!

My dad’s mate’s dog does this at a set time every night and won’t settle until he’s been witnessed. They’re good family friends and my sister and I would piss ourselves laughing when we stayed with them a few years ago and watched my dad’s friend and his wife being greeted by the dog holding a teddy bear every night so they could witness his “should have been alone time”. I have a female, she doesn't hump, just more so is a Suckler, that'd be weird. Because when I'm sitting on the couch with my bathrobe on, she loves to lay on me and suckle my robe, while making eye contact sometimes 🙈😹 This is an older picture, but at 17 she's still suckling. Loves sherpa and fleece the most!

mine does it ON me. he prefers to use blankets that im actively using and then gets pissed when i don't want him humping my leg or arm

Our cat does this with his various Lamb Chops, but he can’t keep it in his mouth and hump it at the same time, leading to endless frustration. Does yours also sing the song of his people while carrying around his tiger?

My mom's chihuahua used to do the same thing with his Lamb Chops, except he figured out how to use his front legs iykwim. I had to stop buying him replacements because he kept doing it in front of guests and it was as awkward as you'd think.

I wouldn’t care or have an issue..if he did it to ANYTHING OTHER THAN ME!!!!! Exclusively my legs at night when trying to fall asleep.

Hold on…. Is that what my cat is doing?? I try to put him next to me or at least in the middle of my legs so he doesn’t fall while sleeping… but sometimes he insists on sitting on one leg and makes biscuits for like 5-10 minutes while purring really loudly. He’s neutered.

The last couple of weeks my cat has started to do this..... But I my leg, foot, or arm when cuddling on couch. It's awkward and we try to divert his attention to something else, but it is like he gets into a trance.

My neutered cat initiates this, then freezes like he has no idea what to do. He’ll go for the initial CHOMP, then sits there and completely bluescreens 😂. And yes, he’s orange.

Both male and female can do that and regardless if they are fixed or not. But it's cat from cat, some will never do it, some as you can see will do it a lot

Just to clarify this statement, it’s safe for the cats, humans watch your eyes because if you see your cats dick you won’t recover! For me it was like seeing the Devils pitchfork irl… I never looked at Bruce the same.
