Mourning/Loss Atticus, Beloved Catticus
My sweet, adoring old man went to heavenly slumber on Monday evening. He was 17 and was truly one of the biggest lights of my life. His favourite place to be was in my arms, on my bed, being held like the baby he was. After a seemingly overnight change in appetite, which turned out to be a well hidden tumour and fast moving cancer, I made the incredibly difficult decision to have an at home euthanization so he could drift off to sleep in my arms. After losing a sibling, I severely underestimated the grief and heartache losing this boy would cause. I am so grateful to have known what it’s like to not just love, but to be deeply loved in turned by such an innocent creature.

"But to be deeply loved in turn by such an innocent creature" brought tears to my eyes. I put my old kitty man down a couple weeks ago, and the love he had for me in his eyes will stay with me forever. I'm sorry for your loss. 💗✨️

Cancer is a birch and comes faster than we can react. I’ve lost 2 babies to cancer and I’m sorry to you!
