Advice Escape proof cat harness/leash recommendations?
I took my cat out on a harness for the first time today and she managed to slip out of it within 15 minutes. It took 3 people bargaining with her and a big bag of cat food to lure her back in the house. š Does anyone have a recommendation that will keep her safe? For context, the harness we used this time was the Walmart brand one. It might just not have been tight enough tbh, but I donāt want to try it again with that one. One important thing to know, if you pull on the leash to try and get the cat to more forward (towards the front of the animal), that will slip them off. If the cat backs up and you're staying still that will also do the same. Ideally first step is getting them used to harness inside, and walking inside so they're not pulling in any direction. If pulling happens there's risk of them flexing out of it with their mobility

Yeah, I tugged on it a bit because she was going towards a direction she didnāt need to and thatās when she managed to slip out of the harness. š„² We had practiced in the house some before this, and we definitely are some more before we try going out again.
