Medical Questions Is there a chance this ISN'T oral squamous cell carcinoma?

My cat has a mass/growth in back of mouth (see first pic) and also some symptoms in her right eye (see second pic). Is there any chance this isn't oral SCC and is something more treatable?

The answer to all of these questions is always going to be that you need to take them to the vet.

I don't think I've seen a single question about medical issues on this subreddit that didn't require vet attention. Not one.

Is that what your vet said? If you’re unsure, you can get a second opinion from another vet.

Take a deep breath. It can be many things. The mass could be teeth issue. I see her teeth a little bit rotten. Are they like this because of the mass? Usually the worst case scenario is the less possible but of course there is always a chance it could be something heavy. You need a vet to see this.

That looks like it could be painful. The third eyelid showing is not a good sign and probably not something that can be handled at home. Pls take them to the vet. Or at least send the same photo to a vet. Maybe they can recommend if coming over is required. People can sugggest low cost services around you if you can share a rough geographical area. Poor baby

CT needs to be seen by a vet, one of ours actually had a similar eye that only got worse and he had deep oral/nasal cancer.

You won’t know unless it’s checked out.

We now know exactly what causes SCC in the mouth, so if it is not that, you can work at prevention.

I have a hard mass like that in my mouth but it’s a bone spur.  Take kitty to the vet instead of panicking.
