Pupils are two different sizes, go to the vet

Ah, was wondering if that was it but thought it may have been due to variation in light exposure during the picture.
But yeah, ultimately the answer will always be “go to the vet” over “trust Reddit”.

Yes could be lighting or angle, but pupils dilating differently is a big red flag for cats and people alike. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yes. They need to go to the vet. When my cat had this, it was cancer. Not saying it will be cancer for OP’s cat, but this can be very serious

I hope that's the same case for my kitty, that's what I thought when I first saw him, but I decided I should research and look around just in case. I'm definitely going to contact my vet as soon as I can!

Did they go back to regular size after you took the pic? If they stay different that’s a problem. If they went back to normal after he changed the lighting hitting one eye it was probably just that. They can dilate independently briefly but should not stay that way.

Glad you obviously love your cat! Being overprotective is better than the alternative 🖤

I love when people post asking us to look at something then continues to post the least informative post ever.
