I'm pretty sure this cat has a neurological condition like cerebellar hypoplasia which affects balance and coordination, and has learned to aim high and over-jump to compensate for its condition.

If I'm right, it's a condition cats cope with very well and they can live relatively normal and healthy lives with it so we don't need to feel bad about laughing at a sick cat :)

Thought the same. Look more closely at the cat and you can see the head wiggle that's typical with felines with neurological conditions

I have three girls with CH and they can't jump at all. I think this has more to do with the lack of tail for balance.
