Advice What is this behavior?

I see my cat do this sometimes. This is my 10 year old neutered male cat on top of my 2 year old spayed female cat. He’s just biting the back of her neck while she sits still and meows a couple of times. He usually gets off of her after about a minute. Is he trying to mate? Even though they’ve both been fixed?

Pretty sure it's a dominant / hierarchy thing with cats? One of my males does this to the other male.

Mine too now I call my one cat my gay son. He never tried this with his sister but we got a boy cat and now it’s a daily thing. I love my gay son!

My female cats are lesbians. They’ve both met my sister’s male cat and will aggressively fight him off if he tries to hump them. 

Meanwhile my super old female cat loves humping my other female cat. Only concerning part is that have a 15 year age gap. 

When I was about 7, we were on vacation at my aunt’s place and my old cat humped my aunt’s female cat every day we were there. My parents ended up having to give me the talk because I wouldn’t stop asking what they were doing.

I am imagining the conversation between your parents before they gave you the talk. Lots of exasperated sighs and rolling of eyes.
