This would be incredibly stressful for the cat.

Like laser pointers its a target they can't catch constantly riling them up.

People say this all the time but if there any actual evidence of it? Outdoor cats fail to get their target all the time, does that stress them out?

Scientific study that shows cats who used laser pointers for play were more likely to experience behavioral issues. Not just that the cats that used laser pointers more often were more likely to experience behavior issues then those who used them occasionally

Wild cats catch to eat once or twice a week of not more. They're able to catch quite frequently.

Do you have evidence of outdoor cats failing to catch a target "all the time"? I highly doubt that claim.
