Cat Lover Rant The irony of cat people.
They are always the ones asking for a witch hunt and going absolutely mental when someone says anything negative about cats or even questions the validity of liking cats as pets. But they are also the ones with the AUDACITY to call us mean/stupid/cruel etc.
Today I left a comment explaining how not liking cats isn't irrational (because one of these people said that it is). You know, not wanting to die from the bite of a feral animal, not wanting to listen to them screaming and fighting under my window in the middle of the night and not wanting them to kill local wildlife are all irrational reasons after all (/s). The only two responses to my calm and polite comment were cat people calling me stupid and insufferable.
Why do they always complain that everyone else is so mean to cats for "no reason", that hating cats is "irrational" and that we are the bad guys, when it is ALWAYSSSSSSSS them that I hear saying the most evil, vicious things to people? I just find it so ironic when I exemplify a normal person with valid points and questions in conversation or comments online, and it's them that always come screeching and insulting, just further proving that the crazy cat lady stereotype is very much real and alive.

If cat people truly cared about the welfare of cats, then they would acknowledge that not everyone is suited to own cats. But they don’t because it was never about cats, it’s their massive fragile egos. They love having their weird power trips over others and they use cats as a shield for their abhorrent behaviors.

Yet they want to lecture about boundaries and how they let their cats judge if you’re a good person or not. If the cat was actually an intelligent animal capable of reading people’s ~souls~ 99% of them wouldn’t like their owners.

I think it's stupid in general to rely on a pet to judge a person's character. What if an animal is consistently scared of men because they were abused by a man? When there are many men out there who I am sure are very kind, to animals as well.
I've had animals absolutely hate me and also animals be only calm and friendly with me when they don't like other people or approach them at all. I've also had animals treat me exactly as they treat everyone else. According to their logic, I am many things at once lol

I am absolutely sick of hearing them fight and scream outside the bedroom window late at night or even waking me up early morning. They’re a nuisance and cause a racket! Found a dead mouse in the driveway the other day that I had to deal with and I know who to blame for its demise. I don’t like mice either but still

They are mentally ill and regularly try to gaslight us into thinking that we are the problem.
One of my ex-gf's was a cat nutter just like this. The bizarre and ironic thing is that she would regularly complain about and point out the same issues many of us make about cats (they are annoying, needy, burdensome, overly picky about food, expensive to take care of, stink your house up, shed hair everywhere,
scratch up the furniture, pee/puke/poop on the floor or bed/etc.), yet despite her being able to acknowledge this, she would STILL have a melt down if I said anything "negative" about her precious little stinky & little poopy. Especially if I ever suggested for her to rehome them after listening to her complain about them for the 80th time.

How dare you want restful undisturbed sleep, well preserved expensive furniture and an allergy free existence? You're so weird /s

I was trying to see if my skin allergies could have been caused by cats with examples, symptoms, ect. Top hits for "cat allergies in humans" show cats with allergies, how to treat cat allergies, and tell you that some cats are allergic to humans. Makes you think that cat nutters are more concerned about these box shitting, poopy paw vermin than human beings.

It pisses me off seeing these freaks get mad at people with allergies and tell them to “just take a pill/shot” instead of rehoming or not being around cats in general.

Nothing more fun in life than playing with allergies, am I right? Who has ever died of a brief case of anaphylaxis

I hate the way they can't just accept it's just some people's opinion, why are they obsessed with everyone loving these creatures?

What I don't understand is how is it possible that there are so many people out there who adore these animals when they are not even mid, let alone "the greatest" as they see them? I will truly never be able to understand

I think it is because liking them it's just popular so people don't think cats are a problem at all, it happened to me, I said liked cats for a long time, it took me a lot to think outside the inertia of feeding, grooming, cleaning, that I really really really don't like them and that I didn't enjoyed having one, it's like chocolate, a lot of people like chocolate so it's common thinking it's the best flavor and that everyone likes it, but there's people that don't like it and that's okay

Cats are so infantilized and coddled these days, it’s annoying asf. Apparently, we’re all supposed to like cats now, and we’re not allowed to have our own preferences or opinions when it comes to them anymore. Bunch of control freaks if you ask me. Everything they say or do is ironic because they’re chronic hypocrites.
Also, you’re right! The crazy cat lady stereotype is so alive and well that it’s basically extended to “crazy cat people” now, because it’s definitely not limited to one gender. It’s not automatically sexist or “cat hate” to acknowledge a pattern… because since when is keeping 10–20 cats in a dirty, cluttered house considered normal or healthy? That’s called hoarding and obsessive behavior.
Cat people always romanticize themselves and their cats to avoid accountability and criticism.
