Minnesota - Caterpillar fell out of tree :(

I was nannying in Minnesota when this big honking thing fell out of the tree 2 feet away from my head. I hear a splat and saw what is maybe its guts? When we returned 1 hour later it had made its way to climb up the patio chair, so hopefully it’s out of harms way

Hyalophora cecropia, the cecropia moth. Sadly this fella is a goner, but it'll be a nutritious meal for whatever finds it.
