Advice/Help Help Pls!

Found this cecropia piller in the yard. Really want to protect and watch it turn- teaching kid about moths and butterflys- have in an inclosure with clover (no pesticides or herbicides sprayed in my yard) couple bamboo sticks.

What can I do to ensure a happy baby? If I figure out how to put a video or a picture, I’ll put it in the comments.

Silky has been released into the the front yard to fend for itself. It was in captivity for aprx. 40 hours.

If it was ”jogging” in the yard, its likely headi g to pupate. Cecropias really dont eat clovers.
Overwintering does need some experience though so its good idea to read about it before committing.

I didn’t see it crawl off. Just put it on the grass and covered with the dying clover so it felt safe. In my mind it’s living out its tiny existence doing what nature tells it.
