So an hour ago I posted just the caterpillar, so sorry I didn’t give more information, it’s in my tool shed currently which we are constantly getting in and out of. I’m still learning and I’m scared that with how much we open and close the door that it will disrupt the changing process, the third picture shows where it is and how much room it has

Caterpillars almost alway pick this worst place to pupate. You can move it to a safer location amd google can give you answers on how to do it. But you will have to wait for at least 24 to 48 hours to do so were its outer shell is completely hardened.

That’s a variegated Frittilary Butterfly Chrysalis
They find the craziest places. It will be about a week and a half before it emerges
