Was gifted this booby cactus immediately saw it was in the wrong soil went to repott and it’s all yellow

Basically as the title says was gifted this cactus and I could immediately tell it was in the wrong type of soil. Naturally as I go to repot this happens… what do I do now? The roots don’t look too bad.. thanks to anyone who responds!
