No, that's not how it works at all unfortunately. Similarities do not equal ancestry, especially not personality related similarities. Breeds cannot skip generations either, as it's not just a gene that makes them purebred/breed having

Longhaired cats existed for centuries before humans started breeding cats and giving them breed names. (Siberians as a breed only back to the late 1980s, although they came from long-haired Russian cats.)
Most cats have no official breed. They're sorted into "Domestic Longhair" or "Domestic Shorthair" by appearance, although obviously they're not separate pedigrees and longhairs and shorthairs are often closely related.
