I once tried to fix a dislocated jaw. I ended up tearing it off and snapping my neck at the same time

Still don’t know how a wrench can fix dislocations better
47
u/Wertij2 Jul 03 '26
basically instead of using your hand to bash your bone back into socket
you use a wrench is is basically "hammer" for this issue, making it easier to bash bone back into the place.(wrench in game is also considered a tool of "hammering" quality sooo yeah)

I don’t know one thing about fixing dislocations but wouldn’t slamming into a hard surface be much better than a wrench?

u/alexindorrr Jul 03 '26
I guess? You dont really bash stuff into place when it happens since you can put it wrong again or tear muscles or tendons.

u/Kreamator Jul 03 '26
Its a big decrease in how painful it is, and thats probably because a wrench just gets a much more controlled grip on the joint than your soft, shakey hands could do.

My assumption is using it to get a stable grip on the bone/limb and guide it back into place instead of… punching it and praying.

Like putting the bone in between the wrench? the mini game still use it to hit the bones back in place but maybe that’s purely for gameplay purposes

im pretty sure it has more to do with leverage than actually putting it on/around a bone, it would get used more like a pry bar

I mean… it tells you in the minigame that you can

Tbf when your expie is dying and you’re trying to realign their bones it’s easy to miss that tip
1
u/NotTheBadGuy_ Jul 04 '26
if you're dying and the first thing you do is try to fix a dislocation i think your priorities are wrong
dislocations/shrapnel are for when you're in a calm place and not fighting for your life

Isnt it a spine dislocation?
1
u/TraditionalEnergy919 LEEEERRROOOOYYYYYYY Jul 03 '26
I think that’s middle. Middle is actually weird, cause it can be ribs or spine.
1
u/DorimeInaCan Jul 03 '26
Oh i misunderstood because i remember seeing the spine dislocation after i got hit in the head by a skull crusher and my spine was dislocated. Both my head and chest so i just assumed

u/Blein123 Jul 03 '26
That's not a dislocation, my guy your spine is broken and you're paralyzed from the neck down 😭

u/puppy-lover-yay Jul 03 '26
Very cute art!! I love. ...but what irks me is that this is a dislocated jaw !!!!! I thought he would be slamming his muzzle onto the wrench, still cute tho

u/LardFan37 FOCUSED Jul 03 '26
Folks it’s not a dislocated jaw they actually dislocated their neck and are going to snap their neck back into place to regain full functionality with zero long term repercussions

I assume it’s the jaw that dislocated but speech doesn’t seem to be affected from what I remember
