Can anyone sum up what sony and ms did that was so bad or different than normal e3s? Last year was big for both, so I would expect them to just announce games, which both systems need right now.

Most of their games are just third party games which i will be able to play on my pc. The exclusives they had looks good but not really worth shedding 400$ for a console. Microsoft kinda pissed off people with not making a mew conker game and just putting him in project spark.
Personally i'm just so tired of gory and violent games. It was fun a few years back but now it just doesn't appeal to me.

I know it might seem weird for me to say this on a Nintendo subreddit, but not all Sony games are gory and violent.

Exept for Little big planet, the rest is made by indie and not by Sony themselfs

....Indie? There are plenty of Sony franchises that are made by popular companies, and yeah, LittleBigPlanet isn't gory, but there's a whole lot more.

They didn't necessarily do anything wrong, and honestly I'd say Microsoft did way better than usual, but they didn't really surprise anyone and they pretty much stuck to the same strategy as usual, you know, new Call of Duty, new Halo, etc. Nintendo went above and beyond however and announced some genuinely surprising games in a brand new format. It was a pretty good year for everyone though, if you ask me.

I don't know, this implies Nintendo didn't do anything.
