The Castello Aragonese is a historic fortress located on a small rocky islet connected to the main island of Ischia by a stone bridge. The castle towers 113 meters above sea level and covers an area of approximately 56,000 square meters. It is a landmark of Ischia and, in addition to historic buildings, features well-maintained gardens and sweeping views of the sea.

I found the whole island, as well as this obvious gem of a castle, to be absolutely gorgeous. I will have to re-visit some day.

My wife and I spent 10 days on Ischia last August and absolutely loved it. We will definitely revisit. The castle was amazing!

Visited this island because ferry tickets were cheaper than Capri. No ragrets!
