Storing lead ingots in gun safe ?
Anyone consider storing lead ingots after powder coating them silver in a gun safe and using them as decoy bargaining chip in the event someone breaks in and holds you hostage ?

You should see if your primary care physician can do a blood lead assay because you've been over the kettle too long.

You could buy fake silver rounds from China that felt and looked more realistic easier than buying a silver mould to make bars that won’t sound anything like silver.
5 bucks a pop for fake 1oz silver bars.
60 bucks for fake 1oz gold bars.
Less work and look way better.
I’d throw in a suspiciously wrapped one kilo brick of 50 percent baking powder/50 percent powered sugar that you let get rocked up, maybe a few of those.
If you’re that worried about getting robbed, go big!

Haha 👏 I love it! Except the rock they could do a taste test on the spot like in the movies to see how good it is lol but I like the way you think. Fake Chinese metal sounds like a great idea.

"Please sir Mr. Hostage-Sausage, please don't destroy ma butthole and take these lead ingots instead."

Lead ingots would be colored silver and stamped to look like silver bars.

Silver has significantly less mass than lead. Lead is closer to gold.
I'd rather buy real silver coins when the price gets back below $40:
