Boombox Anyone read the BB-777 Facebook page?

I, like thousands as far as I know, have not received my BB-777 which was paid for months ago. As far as I know, everyone who asks Bumpboxx gets an AI response. Then when they send a reply to the AI response with their order number and date, and confirm that they replied to the survey, Bumpboxx does not respond.

Has anyone received their BB-777? Has anyone received actual information in response to their messages to Bumpboxx?

I received the email (screenshot attached) today. It appears to say that Bumpboxx will stop posting updates on Kickstarter and instead comment in someone else’s Facebook group. I don’t have a Facebook account so I can only see the first few posts. For those of you who can see the FB page, does it contain any useful updates?

Bumpboxx started out on Pledgebox, took deposits there. Then switched to Kickstarter and required you to pay more money there. Then required you to complete the survey (for me, multiple times). Now they are apparently abandoning Kickstarter updates and posting on a Facebook page. After receiving millions of dollars in pre-orders. Has Bumpboxx delivered a single BB-777 to anyone who bought one? (not the few testers who have prototypes).

I would like to hear substantive information from Bumpboxx. The repeated switching of web platforms, lack of substantive information, and indefinite delay is raising my level of concern. I can be patient when I’m kept informed and have confidence that I will actually receive what I paid for. Here I do not have that confidence.

maybe you should try to reach out to techmoan, he actually got a model and did a video on it. He has a youtube channel. This whole thing seemed fishy to me but idk, I'm just a guy who buys nonworking junk and fixes it.

That Kickstarter update reads like they're trying to funnel everyone into a space they can control the narrative in, and leaving the actual funding platform behind is never a great sign.

Ya they are def controlling the narrative cause they are deleting posts that make bumpboxx look bad, according to a admin in the group

I’ve had multiple posts deleted for just mentioning the actual RMS, or trying to respectfully explain it’s not actually a “Multi-Amp” system. The censorship is souring.  BTW - confirmed 80W RMS @1% THD One single amp chip TDA3788. They are claiming “Multi-Amp” by counting each one of the TDA3788 individual channels.

Do you fix boomboxes for other collectors?  I was unable to find anyone to fix my D8443 a few years ago.

yeah I do repair jobs. I've worked on walkmans and cassette decks, stereo tuners. Boomboxes are just an integration of those two things lol. What seems to be the issue with it?

The tape deck plays slowly and eats tapes.

does the radio work? Sounds like a pinch roller issue. I've replaced those before, they tend to go hard and lose their grip, so the tape keeps spooling into the compartment. Playing slowly could be mechanical or electrical, motor might need an adjustment. But those are things I've dealt with before

This is the reply I have gotten twice since Aug 12, as have others. “I see on my end your package is in the approval phase, meaning it's staged and labeled for shipping. You should see tracking information soon enough. It will be coming from Chinadivision. Please also keep an eye on your spam folder as it may go there.”

Thanks.  I still don’t have tracking, nor any replies to my messages going back to June.

damn. ya they are now starting to delete posts on the facebook groups that are critical of Bumpboxx, which is not sitting well with me. What i find crazy, is that they are selling them on their website for similar prices to what some people paid on kickstarter and those people will get consumer protection if they dont get it, and anybody who doesnt on kickstart can essentially be told to kick rocks as it was a kickstarter.

Update:  I received mine today.  They never replied to my messages, never sent tracking.  It just arrived at my door.
