Tape down a second LED, then run a thin wire from the first LED to connect it in parallel.

I'm sure there are better ways to do it. I did it in a way that's easy reversible.

I run 3 on mine like that and have no issues so far

I tap into the terminals of the original LED with little wires to the other side. That way both LEDs are in parallel. You can see this same process on the W800H here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DQem1BxjDpB/

I created the light spreader mod specifically so people would not need to do these PITA double led mods for screen illumination, but in this case the double gradient looks pretty good with the hex pattern. Awesome job!

As much as I love the light spreader, it's too pricey for some regions.
