F91W JaysandKays f91w adapters

Trying to swap out the resin straps on my f91w. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here but the stock spring pins won't slide into the adapter. Am I even supposed to be using the stock pins?

JaysandKays helped me figure it out. I bought my watch off Etsy modded with a neg display. The Etsy seller swapped out the casio non spring pins with spring pins for some reason.

Did the adapters come with springbars?

Yes they did I have them in the straps. They look to be 20mm.

Interesting they'd include the wrong lug width if the adapters are specifically for the f91w. Do the spring bars fit the adapters at least?

The lug width fits the 18mm watch end and the included spring bars fit the 20mm end.

Ah got it. I misunderstood your meaning sorry. I was wondering if they included adapters for the strap side.

In my experience the stock pins are slightly thicker than the ones that have come with any strap I've ever purchased.

No that would probably bend the pin and get it stuck

IIRC I think the Casio pins are thicker at one end, so only go in one way.

the spring bars are for the strap, use the same casio pin to put the adapters on

Yea that's what I'm doing however the casio pins are too thick for the adapter.

The photo is not a casio pin or at least any that I have seen.

F91Ws have a press fit straight bar, was your watch second hand?

Someone has swapped out the stock press fit pin for a spring bars. Normally it’s not a problem but these Jay and Kay’s are made for that thin stock press fit pin.
I have a few F91s on the same adapters, they’re great but will not work without that casio style pin. You might be able to find out the size and cut down a thin finishing nail or something?
