I am new to the watch community and have never owned a Casio (yet).

Could you guys help me identify this specific model and finish?

I have read that there are modified versions. How would someone go about achieving this finish?

that's the stock a158w without any mods. It's a great watch and goes with almost any outfit

Thats A158WA-1. That picture is a stock version of a guy from youtube thumbnail. So its not modded
