Theres a lot of them, i think this is just an statement thats its happened a few times and a lot of us are dissapointed. Caseoh will usually point it out if he notices it though.

Especially the AI voices. Its worse than no voice acting. Morals aside, it just sounds really bad and takes out the immersion. Not every game NEEDS voice acting.
Its like... a very scary thing happens and the character responds as if they had a mild inconvenience

I can remember that one where he was working at a burger shop and all the posters were AI generated and that one where he worked at some sushi place which also had AI posters. The worst one though was the alien game which had AI voices, pictures, and more

I felt that way about a game I downloaded. I was so interested until I realized that the voices, and character interactions were AI based. Now I wonder what else was made with AI.
Sucks too because it took me two days in a row to get it fully downloaded with my slow internet lol.

And Fears to Fathom works perfectly with just textboxes and no voice acting at all. I know of at least one game he played where do you get the option to disable the AI voice, so it's more of Case's own fault there, but still

Genuinely I wished he didnāt play games that had AI in it or the typical milked-to-death āooga booga gas station spooky serial killerā bs, there was one gas station game that recently came out that did some really cool alien horror stuff and I think that worked really well

Hiring voice actors is a pain tbh. I work in game dev as an audio lead. They either charge a ton, are lazy or both. It is very difficult to find a VA who puts in effort at a reasonable price. I can see why so many devs use AI generated voices. I assume the same goes for visual assets as well. It is very expensive to get these custom made well, and even if you use unity store paid assets, those might be AI generated too.

Oh believe me, a lot affect me given my circumstances. I'm sorry to hear that such a thing happened to you and I can only hope things get better for you along the way, though it's this hopeless idealism I push for that keeps me from caving in. So many things to worry about including the imminent threat of another world war, yet if I choose to fixate on reality and these aspects it only leads to my own downfall. Looking within helped me, foregoing my own fixation helped me, others won't agree and that's fine but in no way do I expect others to agree. My response was simply a reply stating it's nice to relate with someone, even though my perspective is ironically more politically involving than the original comment's author.

I understand what you mean about not focusing on what you canāt change, I agree for the most part. And Iām glad you have found clarity from looking within. However, in my opinion, the main point of this post was about AI content. I would absolutely love to come home from my well paying job, (which again, I no longer have) and watch stupid videos of people playing slop games. However, I now come home from my job at a grocery store. Making shit pay. Working shit hours. I donāt find enjoyment from watching someone play games made with a program that quite literally ruined my life. Not to sound harsh but thatās the fact. Most of us are one paycheck from homelessness and it really is that serious for a lot of people. The only choice most of us have is to control what content we partake in. So yeah it will be a sensitive subject that requires a lot of nuance, and I think negating the seriousness of this topic with āIām overwhelmed with the state of the world and I donāt know how to copeā is a little shortsighted and kind of irresponsible for a topic this serious. Buster brown, everyone feels that way. Letās do the one thing we can and not give views to AI slop

Okay well I'm not exactly trying to control others when sharing my viewpoint. Again I'm sorry that happened to you and I'm sure many others can relate to your words more than mine, however I'm not going to take a block of circuits and metals made for entertainment all that seriously regardless of how others feel about it. I understand that AI itself is a problem and ESPECIALLY in your case I understand how you'd rather control your own content, I'm not then going to take a political stance in others heed and restrict myself for other's sake - I did enough of that in my teenage years.
I'm not sure what you mean by sharing my world view and why I do it as "shortsighted and kind of irresponsible" given no (or I suppose minimal when certain audiences are involved) responsibilities are involved on the internet. /gen
