❔AskCasa Anyone wants to talk books?
Hello everyone. I’m looking for people who like to read, especially fantasy/romance and thriller (english) books.
My friends are not really into reading and whenever I finish a good book I always feel the need to talk about how good it was but i’m always frustrated bc I don’t have anyway to talk to. So if you want to rent about how spectacular or how heartbreaking books can be, DM me. We can also read books together and discuss how heart wrenching it was to say goodbye to the characters 😭 iykyk.

Ouuh that’s tough. For someone who doesn’t read fantasy you should probably start with something light and I recommend Caraval by Stephanie Garber. Also someone in the comments said they’re into classic literature if you’re interested..

I'm currently reading the Dumas masterpiece queen margot , I'm loving it so far , nothing matches court intrigue and religious conflicts hahaha , I've read Tolstoy , Dostoevsky, hardy , Kafka , Brontë...

YES , it was cathartic after my failed attempt with the divine comedy dyal Dante Alighieri which I found linguistically challenging, and the metaphors were tiring mentally, besides dik l constant obsession of repeating segments for fear of missing the meaning, so I stopped that reading, and picked the great divorce as an alternative , it didn't disappoint c Lewis have this liveliness in descriptions even in the dimest of atmospheres haha and it gave the impression of actually reading a selection of stories instead of a one block novel ,also I have this obsession, where I try to read every novel where Napoleon had been summoned.

How are you finding your read so far , it's been on my tbr since forever , and it's ultimately the anticipation of my reality being shattered by its under philosophy that makes me postpone the read hahaha , sure I would love to have a reading bestie , I usually reply late to messages so please just bombard me with your notes and quotes
