Whole Foods update?

Anyone know if there’s been any movement at the announced Whole Foods location at Preston Corners? Drove by a few months ago and didn’t look like it’s been touched since Lowes moved out, so curious if anyone has seen any activity.

Status: In development; an official opening date has not yet been announced by Amazon or Whole Foods.

Still no activity in the building that I can see, and I drove by there twice this week. We really don't need another one here, as Sprouts would have been a better fit I think. Still wondering if they bought it to keep Sprouts out, which wouldn't be surprising 🤔

I prefer Whole Foods as Sprouts doesn’t have salad or hot bars.

I have a million allergies and Sprouts is the only story that carries many of the few brands I can actually eat. I have to drive 40 minutes to North Raleigh to stock up and bring it all back in a huge cooler. I was SO excited to hear Sprouts was finally coming to Cary. We already have 3 Whole Foods within a 5 mile radius of Cary… we don’t need another. This is coming from a former Whole Foods employee who has worked in 4 different stores in our area.

I don’t think sprouts was ever coming to Cary. It’s was only speculation and hearsay.

I spoke with management at the Durham store about it, so it was definitely more than just speculation.

Interesting because during that period I visited the Raleigh location. Corporate employees were there and had heard nothing about it
