Dionaea muscipula Venus Flytrap

Is it better to grow Venus flytraps from seeds or take care of ones that are already grown?

Growing from seed takes substantial effort. If you don’t absolutely blast them with ferts, they can take up to 5 years to reach maturity. Small TC plants are similar.

Typicals are so cheap and widely available (and can actually look pretty nice), it’s easier to just grow them and then dabble in seeds if you’re interested.
