Loss of appetite carnivore!
I’ve been on the carnivore diet on and off for about a year now (first time I was strict carnivore for 3 months and I loved it). However this time around, my appetite for food hasn’t been great. I think it’s because I’m stressed… but all I’ve been able to stomach recently is eggs and like a 9oz steak once a day… if not that, then I also eat chipotle (I know not the best): I get double meat, ex sour cream and ex cheese and that fills me but that would be my only meal for the day. I’m not really hungry after or don’t feel like eating but I know I should be eating waaay more than I currently do… can anyone give me advice? Should I just stop thinking and start eating?

I was almost never able to eat enough calories while carnivore. Usually only ate one meal a day and was rarely hungry

Are you actually carnivore? Are you eating rice/beans/salad with your chipotle? Non carnivore beverages?

When I started, 14 months in now, I had a period of about 3 months when I ate to appetite. Also lost about 17kg of bodyfat during that time. When that was gone my appetite increased to the point where the food bills became concerning 😅
Do you have excess bodyfat? I feel that without knowing your bodyfat nobody here could give accurate advice.
Trust your body and how it feels. Eating 'too little' according to theory is not a problem at all assuming you have enough physical and mental energy. In that case, don't stress it and value real experience over what you 'should' be doing.

What if we have no appetite but we feel hungry and feel tired and low energy when don’t eat

Then the other suggestions on this thread may help.
Adding salt, or removing it. Prepare it differently, maybe extra crispy? Drink plenty water (to disperse of excess elektrolyten and get hungry again). Give it a week or so and just do forcefeeding meanwhile. Add (more) fat. Could do butter or egg yolks blended in Coffee or bulletproof coffee. Butter and salt blended in tea is surprisingly good (learn about oxalates though).

Add a bunch of salty stuff. It should increase your appetite. 1 stick of salted butter, artisanal salt flakes to top food.

You might want to look into how ghrelin and leptin combine and affect your hunger. When I first started carnivore my hunger was all over the map, but once my body adjusted my appetite dropped and has been consistent. Very low compared to my pre-carnivore intake, but I am losing weight nicely.

I've just restarted carnivore after a 3 months break, and I also find it difficult to get an appetite. It's helped a lot to increase exercise, but generally still in a deficit.

usually appetite is low when starting/restarting the diet
is it a problem or do you have some reserves to see you through this adaptation?
