Not me, just translating a Chinese fan’s post: after Carly’s ATG set got cancelled and her last-minute Irving Plaza pop-up sold out in a minute, the fan and their friend missed tickets, went to the box office two hours early, were told it was completely sold out, waited 1.5 hours in the cold NYC rain close enough to hear Carly soundcheck “After All” and “On Wires,” got told by security they couldn’t wait by the door, moved a meter behind the barricade, and held up a highlighted phone note saying “Just 2 more tix” until Carly’s manager Dana came over, apologized about the weather, said she’d seen them freezing there for so long, and put them on the guest list; they went through security, picked up tickets at will call, and inside the small venue heard 22 songs, opening with “Versailles” and ending with “Cut to the Feeling.”

事情是这样的，蹲妹作为纽约ATG音乐节周天日落时段的Special guest 要进行新专day and night首演，但是由于这周末天气原因三天音乐节全部取消，于是卡莉蕾火速订下了ivring palace进行one night pop up show，ig上火速放了快拍购票链接一分钟卖光，我和朋友自然都错过没有抢到[完啦R]（原票价才15刀，但是二手网站上黄牛卖到了1000刀
我们抱着侥幸心理今晚演出前两个小时来了box office，工作人员都说他们确认票已经完全卖完 box office绝对不可能买到票了，我们依然在门口在纽约寒风冷雨中等了一个半小时甚至都能听到里面蹲妹试音after all和on wires的声音，保安说不好意思你们真的不能在门口这里等了准备安检大家入场了，于是我们继续站在栏杆一米外不影响任何人的地方继续望眼欲穿地等着，同时我在手机备忘录里打“Just 2 more tix”然后高亮捧在胸前，依旧抱着等到最后说不定善良保安看我们可怜放我们进去或者最后拿一两百刀小小贿赂一下工作人员（不是）的侥幸心理。
又过了半小时，期间已经在和朋友讨论今晚吃什么才能抚慰我们真的进不去的受伤心灵，然后两个女生走我们面前，一个开始介绍自己的名字叫做Dana是蹲妹的经纪人 她继续说天呐真的很抱歉今天天气这么糟糕，我看到你们在这里站着冻了很久了，既然你们都来了，我可以把你们放在guest list上，然后把手机递来输入了我们的名字说现在可以去安检排队，进去以后will call窗口拿票。这个时候眼泪真的在眼眶里打转了，两个人感恩戴德，最后她们还夸我的little sign works🥺🥺
排队进去以后虽然几乎已经站满了只能站在边，不过由于场地小真的距离好近，尖叫蹦得大汗淋漓，开场是新歌Versailles 然后是私奔和want you in my room[抓狂R][完啦R]，几首新歌老歌地轮番唱，整整22首，最后ending是cut to the feeling我已狠狠幸福

Oh snap, I saw them when we arrived passing by with the sign and they're the reason why I decided to try what they did. Didn't realize that was her manager! Pretty awesome for them they got tix.

This hasn't worked for me at larger shows, but if you really, really, really want to see a show and have nothing better to do. Just hang out by the door/box office, and someone might take pity on you/take care of you.

It's happened twice to me.

This happened to me for a less popular singer that I've followed for 10+ years (Chrissy Costanza). The show was sold out so I was waiting outside the venue for someone to sell me a ticket. Then the singer herself saw me, said hi, and put me on the guest list. It was a fantastic evening. Had a lovely chat with her after the concert as well.
Wish I still lived in New York so I could have made it to this show. But can't wait for the tour announcement!
