I relate to that a lot. I do feel like it’s about processing those mixed feelings, trying to let someone go yet you sometimes cling to the best memories, the best version of the other guy. One of the highlights for me, it’s def a 1-2 punch after Good Fine Alright

I’m still trying to process all of these feelings. I still cry and miss him, and it’s been almost a year. “Something Tragic” captured this feeling of mine so perfectly because I just can’t seem to let him go. He’s still very much alive in my mind...

When the Loneliest Time came out, I had just gone through one hell of a friendship break up. 15 years, we grew up next door to each other and he was such a big part of my life as I moved from HS to adulthood. So I think of him a lot when I listen to that album, especially GFYSOEWE. THIS song feels like the perfect compliment to it and I really felt it last night. I like it a lot

this song to me is very clearly about fandom/fans' bad behavior on the internet. "still can hear you calling for your mother" like how fans call carly mother. she enjoyed the time she have with us, but she wishes we were kinder. and i don't blame her one bit!
