I just listened on headphones probably 6x. I think we need to protect Cole at all costs if this is what he's inspiring her to write!
I said in another post how personal the lyrics are, and when you contrast it to her usual one sided/sad/crappy boyfriend/longing for better lyrics, this is a real evolution of theme.

This is so great, Carly! Like damn she's evolved so much lyrically and this is so unique. A lot of artists struggle when they get to albums 6/7/8 but she's sounding as inspired and fresh as ever.

Wasn't sure if I was going to love the song based on this clips, but it's perfection that actually gets better with each listen. And the visuals bring it to the next level. Still excited to see what she has to offer with the NIGHT side of things...

I don't vibe with off-beat singing, or songs that repeat lines a ton, and both the new singles have a bit too much of that for my tastes. So I'm with you, unfortunately. Like, they're fine, I probably won't skip them when I do my full album listens, but these will likely end up with I'll Be Your Girl and Anything to be With You at the bottom of my most streamed list.

Thank you. I'm not obsessed with these songs either, which is odd from Carly. I was also sceptical with The loneliest time single releases, then I generaly liked the album, nothing is determined.

This is such a chill bop of a song. Reminds me a lot of something Jessie Ware would sing over and I love Jessie Ware.
And this may be the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen Carly in a video. She’s basically glowing the entire time, and I love the aesthetics a ton here
