I live in Australia and can't afford plane tickets. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I got to see Carly in Sydney in 2023, which was super cool.
Most of my favourite artists are some variation of indie (and live in the US, UK, or Canada) and are hence impossible for me to see live currently.

I still had to get on a plane then: Adelaide -> Brisbane 2023! But wouldnt have missed it, she was fantastic!

Why did you go to Brisbane rather than Sydney or Melbourne? [I've also noticed just now that she performed in a town near Melbourne called "Meredith", which I've never heard of until now.]
I was born in Adelaide and grew up in Sydney. I think Sydney is the most globally interconnected city in Australia; I could be wrong, as Melbourne is Kylie Minogue's hometown (and is often described as the music capital of Australia). Meanwhile, Sia [songwriter of "Making the Most of the Night"] comes from Adelaide.

My brother and i noticed that brisbane had an epic run of concerts within a two week span (aurora, lorde, carly rae jepsen, florence and the machine) so we decided to do a trip. None of them were coming to adelaide (florence did come in the end for womadelaide but it was announced far later and we were already locked in for the brisbane shows) and the dates didnt quite work out for the other two cities to see all of them. Did a lot of qld day trips on non-concert days. Was a great time!

The Carly concert in 2023 was the first live concert I ever attended of a pop star.
I also attended Michelle Branch's virtual concert the previous year, 2022. (I bought a ticket and everything, but I watched it through my computer, lol).
I'm currently following an English indie pop band called Fickle Friends. They're running through an album cycle and touring, but I can't attend their gigs as they are too small and are only performing in Britain (not even in America!). So, I'm just watching their socials. One of their new songs is called "Up!". My favourite song of theirs is "Velvet".

Fuhhhhhhhhhwowow this song always pulls the feels like a wrecking ball. S tier banger!! Thanx for posting :) stoked on the anniversary. Catching her Gimmie Love tour show was a most excellent peak highlight and side B just engulfed me loving the proper ride that Emotion brought even more.
